Confirming that March 11 of each year will be a special day for the flag, under the name Flag Day, Boulevard Riyadh City and Boulevard World celebrate today the green Saudi flag, whose value spans three centuries as a witness to the glorious history of Saudi Arabia.
Riyadh Calendar participates in the celebration of flag day through many special events in the entertainment zones with fireworks displays, dazzling drone shows, various popular bands saluting the national occasion by spreading joy and pride, and flags that decorate corners, screens and all other places.
The Saudi flag refers to the symbol and value that stems from the history of the country, as a sign of unification, justice, strength, development and prosperity that it enjoys. It is also the most important manifestation of strength, sovereignty and national unity.
The Kingdom’s flag has evolved in several stages without changing its basic shape. It started with a green flag with a white side and the expression of monotheism in the middle. Then, two crossed swords were added to the flag. After that, the flag appeared with a sword above the expression of monotheism, then below it.
Flag Day recalls the achievements of Saudi Arabia from its founding to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030. It also celebrates the established values that flutter in the glorious skies of Saudi Arabia.
