Yesterday, Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Mohammad Al-Ali Theater in Boulevard Riyadh City witnessed the last performance of the play “Haddy Valentine”, which entertained visitors to Riyadh Season with funny and varied situations during the past days. Actors improvised quite often, adding more fun to the play.
The idea of “Haddy Valentine” revolves around Haddy and his fiancée, Rafif, going to a large store to celebrate Valentine’s Day. There, uncle Marmoush, the owner of the store, tries to convince them that love is just an illusion, telling them what happened to lovers in well-known love stories.
The play, written and directed by Mohammed al-Mohammadi and starring Ahmed Ezz, Tara Imad, Shaima Seif, Sayed Ragab and Mustafa Gharib, tells many stories, including the story of King Shahryar and Shahrazad and their marriage that lasted three years, and the story of Abla and Antar and their love that also lasted three years.
One of the improvisational situations that won the admiration of the audience was the scene in which Queen Shahrazad, her mother and her brother danced, while the actors’ getting off the stage formed a show that won the audience’s approval.
There were many surprises during the performance of the play, with which the audience interacted with admiration, including the entry of the star of the play, Ahmed Ezz, into the theater in a car. At the end of the show, Ezz advised the audience not to judge things based on the point of view of others, and that people should live according to their own choices not the choices of others. He thanked the audience for the interaction and expressed gratitude to the General Entertainment Authority for their good reception and hospitality.
