he General Entertainment Authority showcased its experience in the field of internal auditing at the 5th Forum for Internal Auditing organized by General Court of Audit at its headquarters in Riyadh yesterday (Sunday), coinciding with the International Month of Internal Audit Awareness. This comes in recognition of the authority’s achievement of the “External Quality Assessment” certificate from the Institute of Internal Auditors as one of the first government entities to receive this certification.
The authority showcased its pioneering experience in empowering internal audit management to perform its duties according to the best global practices within its “Internal Audit Applications Exhibition” pavilion. This experience has resulted in obtaining the certification of compliance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing at the “General Conformance” level, which is the highest level of certification. This achievement was realized as part of the External Quality Assessment program for compliance with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
Annually, there is an opportunity to enrich the knowledge content related to the profession of internal auditing and control, by identifying and documenting the best practices and applications. This helps to enhance awareness about the importance of the internal audit function.
