The CEO of the General Entertainment Authority Eng. Faisal Bafarat and the Chairman of the board of directors of the Jeddah Chamber for Commerce and Industry (JCCI) Mr. Mohammed Yousuf Naghi signed a memorandum of collaboration aiming to enhance the quality of entertainment events and establishments and to boost the performance of institutions operating in the sector within the Jeddah governorate.
As per the agreement, GEA and the Jeddah Chamber will collaborate to advance the performance of the private sector’s establishments that operate in the entertainment sector through Jeddah Chamber’s undertaking of the regulations set forth by GEA to run specialized training programs for these establishments.
Additionally, the agreement also calls for organizing workshops providing information about GEA’s services, conducting studies for projects and systems related to the entertainment sector, and launching an annual program to commemorate the outstanding establishments and personnel in the entertainment sector.
In this regard, Eng. Bafarat held an online meeting at the Jeddah Chamber to discuss the latest developments in the entertainment sector and the ways of collaboration to revitalize the sector and to promote its role and position as an economic contributor, diversifying the sources of revenue and boosting the national economy.
The meeting comes as part of GEA’s efforts to develop and to organize the entertainment sector, and to advance the quality of the entertainment activities and events, offering a work environment that stimulates the sector’s growth and enables it to achieve its full potential in economic development, as well as achieving the Quality of Life program aspirations and the Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
