Yesterday, Sunday, December 25, the performances of the play “The Flaming Arrow” concluded in Studio 1 in Boulevard Riyadh City. The show started on December 16, with a large attendance of all accompanying performances and events.
The play presented the biography of the Saudi football legend, Captain Majed Abdullah, highlighting his success story, inspiring attitudes, and unique skills and stressing the challenges he faced in his football career.
On the sidelines of the play, an accompanying exhibition was held, which included pictures of Majed Abdullah and the shields and medals he obtained during his long career, along with his famous sports number 9 shirt.
Visitors to the exhibition watched a documentary about Majed Abdullah, which showed the most prominent and memorable scenes of the great player.
The exhibition also included a screen displaying the championships achieved by Majed Abdullah with his team, the Saudi Al-Nasr Club, and other screens for the most prominent matches and goals he scored in the history of his sport. There were also clippings from newspapers and magazines that wrote about him and a screen displaying statements about the player under the title “What did they say about the player Majed Abdullah?”
The exhibition included a corner for the shirts that Majed Abdullah put on while playing with Al-Nasr Club and the Saudi national team, in addition to the shoes he wore in matches.
Captain Majed Abdullah thanked His Excellency Advisor Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of General Entertainment Authority, for holding the play that tells his career and sporting history in football, expressing his pride in staging this event.
He also expressed his happiness with the great turnout the play witnessed and the people’s love for him from inside and outside the field of sports.
Boulevard Riyadh City allows visitors to move between Al-Nasr Cafe and Al-Hilal Café, which are opposite each other in the Sport subzone to watch the derby.
It is noteworthy that, last month, the zone hosted the play “The Philosopher” about the football star Yousuf Al-Thunayan, which tells the details of his sports career from the early beginnings in his neighborhood until he became a player in Al-Hilal Club and the Saudi national team. “The Philosopher” was one of the most prominent plays of Riyadh Season 2022.
Boulevard Riyadh City, one of the zones of Riyadh Season 2022, is full of continuous theatrical activities, which made it a destination for theater lovers.
