Within the “Star Return 2022” event
As part of the activities of the Riyadh Homecoming festival, the Mrsool Park stadium in Riyadh hosted the Star Return 2022 event, in which former Brazilian stars Ronaldinho, Ricardo Kaka and Roberto Carlos played against 100 boys and girls. The event ended with the children winning by 2 to 1, in a match that was marked by a wonderful display of skills, which made it a unique event that brought together the best football stars of the 1990s and early 2000s.
The famous Brazilian trio contributed to the leadership of the Selecao team, which has not missed the World Cup finals since its launch in 1930, as well as topping the world teams in winning the international tournament 5 times.
Although the legends of Star Return 2022 were mates in their national team, the competition at the level of their different clubs was exciting. Ronaldinho, who spent most of his career in Barcelona, played against Carlos, who was playing with Real Madrid, and the two were competing with Kaka, who played most of his football seasons with AC Milan.
As part of the event’s activities, the players signed 100 school bags bearing the event’s name and logo, in addition to the logo of the Riyadh Homecoming festival. Each bag carried 3 signatures as a souvenir and documentation of the event, which is the first of its kind in the Kingdom.
The Star Return 2022 event, within the Riyadh Homecoming festival, added a skill and entertainment dimension to the children who played against 3 of the most famous international football players, highlighting the leading role of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) in organizing various international events.
