After the end of the registration stage, the international Qur’an and Call to prayer competition “Ort Elkalam” began to sort out the competitors moving the qualified ones in the first stage to the second round of the competition, which is the biggest of its kind in the world.
Since its announcement on January 4, the competition has witnessed the registration of more than 50,000 contestants, from 165 countries, and different continents of the world, all of whom wish to join the competition of reciting the Qur’an and raising the call to prayer, whose prize totals of more than 12 million.
The competition, whose final competitions will be broadcast during the blessed month of Ramadan on the MBC channel, and Shahid digital platform, aims to contribute to spreading the correct concepts of reciting the Qur’an and raising the call to prayer, through the instructions of the judges taken from the fixed descriptions of the reading of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, according to accurate criteria that take into account intonation, good manners sound and performance.
The competition has a diverse arbitration committee that guarantees equal opportunities for all applicants and participants in its competitions, who are evaluated through their performance in intonation and “maqamat”, in addition to pronouncing the Arabic letters in the correct way.
