The plays “Tal Omroh” and “The Entertainment City” premiered as part of Riyadh Season 2025, drawing large crowds and remarkable audience interaction. The strong turnout reflected the continued momentum of theatrical productions in this year’s season.
“Tal Omroh,” staged at Bakr Al Sheddi Theater, stars Nasser Al Qasabi, Fayez Al Malki, Habib Al Habib, Abdulmajeed Al-Ruhaidi, and a group of prominent performers. The play presents a social narrative delivered in a light comedic style, portraying the daily situations of a middle-class family striving to maintain balance amid life’s pressures and fast-changing circumstances.
Meanwhile, “The Entertainment City,” performed at Mohammed Al Ali Theater, draws inspiration from the theme of a well-known amusement park. It follows two young men, Badr and Bashar, on a fantastical journey through the ruins of an abandoned digital city, where they uncover stories and memories that revive what was once forgotten. The cast features Bashar AlShatti, Ahmad Iraj, Yaqoub Abdullah, Mohammed Al-Shaibi, Nasser Al-Dawsari, Talal Sam, Rahaf Mohammed, and Rayan Dashti.
Both opening shows saw full venues and strong engagement from the audience from the very first moments, reaffirming the heightened interest in local and regional theatre productions showcased in Riyadh Season this year.
The plays run daily from 9 p.m. to midnight, with “The Entertainment City” scheduled for 10 performances and “Tal Omroh” for 15. Tickets for both shows are available through the WeBook application.
