The opening phase featured 64 bouts on the Super Globe stage, where fighters competed across the event’s four official weight classes: featherweight, super lightweight, middleweight, and heavyweight. The matches were held in a highly professional environment following a single-elimination format approved by the World Boxing Council (WBC). 64 boxers successfully secured their spots in the next round of the tournament, which will also be hosted in Riyadh from June 20 to 22, featuring 32 bouts to determine the contenders advancing to the later stages. Organized by the World Boxing Council (WBC) in partnership with Riyadh Season, the Grand Prix is part of an ambitious initiative aimed at discovering the next generation of global boxing stars, while elevating the quality of competition under the banner of one of the sport’s most prestigious international governing bodies.
