The “Your Passport to the World – India” event kicked off yesterday (Wednesday) in Al Khobar’s Housing Park, drawing large crowds as part of a series of cultural events organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) to celebrate global cultures.
The event, which runs until Saturday, features musical and vocal performances by a selection of prominent Indian stars, including Armaan Malik, Javed Ali, Emiway Bantai, Rishi Singh, Divya S. Menon, Sajili Saleem, Varsha Prasad, Preeti Bhalla, Aryan Tiwari, Priyanshi Srivastava, and Pooja Khandwal, who performed as a DJ.
Visitors also enjoyed the Indian food corner, offering a variety of dishes from different regions of India such as momos, dosa, samosa, kadak chai, Punjabi kadhi, and pav bhaji.
The event also featured sections dedicated to traditional Indian clothing and accessories, showcasing the diversity of fabrics and styles from the north, south, east, and west of the country. Another highlight was the ornamentation and embroidery corner, which reflected the intricacy and craftsmanship of Indian handwork in design and needlework.
Cultural entertainment at the event included traditional and folkloric performances, such as the famous Bharatanatyam dance, the classical Odissi dance, and energetic routines inspired by Bollywood.
This event is part of the General Entertainment Authority’s initiatives aimed at promoting cultural exchange and enriching visitors’ experiences in a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the richness of Indian heritage, while also contributing to an enhanced quality of life for residents across the Kingdom.
