Ministry of Interior sectors organize joint military musical show

In celebration of Saudi Arabia’s 91st National Day, and in a remarkable participation regarded as the first of its kind, the Saudi Ministry of Interior organized a joint military musical show for all its security sectors accompanied by an exhibition that showcased the Kingdom’s past, present, and future. The event, organized as part of the General Entertainment Authority’s (GEA) National Day celebration program, continued for three days at the Riyadh Front on a total area of 19,000 square meters. The joint military musical show is made up of groups, including the military musical band which forms the core of the Ministry’s military musical band and comprises 120 musicians playing 16 different instruments. The other groups include 32 military men and women representing 16 of the Ministry’s security sectors, in addition to flag-bearing cavalry raising banners of the sectors, and a silent faction demonstrating highly skilled weapon show. An exhibition was also held on the sidelines of the event, showcasing over 250 cultural artefacts, machinery, weaponry, military vehicles, and historical documents owned by 16 security sectors and general administrations, in addition to some of the Ministry’s most significant items from its historical and modern collections. Moreover, the exhibition encompassed a wall of honor recognizing 293 brave Saudi soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service while defending the nation. The event was highly popular among visitors of various ages including citizens and residents who enjoyed the musical show and exhibition and learned about the Ministry’s key role in safeguarding the security of the Kingdom. It was also the first time ever that military women participated in an official military display. The event showcased the Ministry of Interior’s advanced security capabilities and the significant development attained by its security sectors since their establishment and until today, led by the astute guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
