The entertainment sector in the Kingdom is highly lucrative for investments, said Eng. Muhannad Abanmi, the General Entertainment Authority’s General Manager of Infrastructure Development at the Department of Entertainment Development.
He was addressing the ‘Investment Opportunities in Tourism and Entertainment Sectors’ session on Tuesday at the Municipal Investment Forum organized by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs at Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.
He said the GEA’s role is to diversify experiences, create entertainment investment opportunities, and support the local economy.
GEA contributes to the development of the entertainment industry and shows its significant economic viability, Abanmi said, adding, adding that it is important to reinforce public-private partnerships in this field.
“Within just three years of its establishment, GEA has created a complete calendar for all events across the Kingdom,” he said.
In 2019, the Authority along with many government and private entities took part in the Saudi Seasons covering all Saudi regions.
More than 28 million people from the Kingdom and abroad have visited these entertainment events in three years, especially as tourist visas are now easy to obtain.
