Continuing its excellence and commitment to applying the highest global standards, the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has obtained a series of international accreditations in the fields of quality and compliance, reinforcing its position as a leading government entity.
The authority earned four certifications from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), including a groundbreaking certification in the procurement sector—the first of its kind for a government entity in the Kingdom. The other three certifications place the authority among the top five government entities to achieve them.
The certifications include ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management Systems, ISO 21502:2020 for Project Management, ISO 21504:2022 for Portfolio and Program Management. Additionally, the ISO 37301:2021 certification for Compliance Management Systems, issued by TÜV AUSTRIA, was awarded to the authority, specifically to its General Directorate of Procurement.
This achievement underscores GEA’s dedication to institutional performance development and adherence to international best practices in compliance. These milestones build upon GEA’s previous accomplishments, as the authority was awarded two other ISO certifications earlier this year ISO 31000:2018 for Risk Management and ISO 31022:2018 for Legal Risk Management.
These certifications reflect GEA’s sustained efforts to enhance compliance with regulations and laws, including intellectual property rights, and to implement best practices across all its events and programs.
