On Wednesday, January 11, the upcoming performances of the musical “Charlie” will start at Mohammed Al Ali Theater in Boulevard Riyadh City, as part of the activities of Riyadh Season 2022.
The starring role in the play, which lasts for 10 days, is played by Mohamed Fahim, with a group of comedy stars.
The play, written by Medhat El-Adl and directed by Ahmed El-Bohey, revolves around the life of one of the most famous cinema actors in the world, Charlie Chaplin, and his influence on the international film industry.
The play focuses on the human side of Chaplin and sheds light on the stages and challenges that he faced in his career until he achieved international fame and won an Oscar.
The play comes as a gesture to bring back the memory of one of the most prominent actors of silent cinema, and one of the first comedy stars in modern history.
